Castlevania: Curse of Darkness (IGN)

As Hector, you seek revenge against your former ally, Isaac, for having killed your wife. At one point in time, you were both servants of Dracula, but his death three years prior to Curse of Darkness has left the thrown of evil in a state of chaos. Hector gave up the dark ways sometime around this point, and left behind his devil forging abilities.

[Console video games are what I grew up on, functioning as great entertainment, but also as an excellent anger management tool. Anyone who played games from the Mega Man, Super Mario Bros., or this series, knows how frustrating it is to miss a jump and fall into an abyss. Although my favorite series of all-time is Final Fantasy, Castlevania comes in a close second for me. BK]

Lou, Thank you for providing a link to your blog. I will definitely check it out. As for Castlevania: COD, I believe that I am almost finished with it, but there are a few loose ends on certain maps for me. I am excited about Trevor mode being available afterwards because his skills looked much superior to Leon's in Lament of Innocence.

Thank you, I try to be as insightful as I can.

I hope it does do justice! Otherwise forget it. lol.

I agree that SotN is the best, but the ones for GBA are alright in my book as well.

Lou, Welcome! I have read your comments on Dennis's blog before and appreciate your insight. Curse of Darkness features Hector as its main protagonist, but Trevor Belmont is definitely around, since the setting is three years after Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse. I will not spoil things for you, but this installment does justice to both Trevor and Symphony of the Night (arguably best in series).

Castlevania is my all-time favorite game, and I will definitely buying this one--though I generally don't like the Castlevania games that dont feature the Belmonts in some way..
