Rejection [IJOCA] (Discourse Chronicle)
Dear Bobby,
On behalf of both THE INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF COMIC ART and the "Ever-Ending Battle" Symposium, I would like to thank you for your submission of "Christ, Anti-Christ, or Super-Hero: Green Lantern Through the Looking Glass". However, due to a combination of space, thematic, and content limitations, I'm sorry to say that your piece will not be included in the final package [to the] Editor of IJOCA. Nevertheless, please stick with your work, continue to submit to IJOCA, and accept my best wishes.

Shane, I am loving Johns on GL, especially with Green Lantern: Recharge happening. I assume you read my previous post about Ron Marz writing an Ion series for DC with Kyle Rayner.

Dr. Killingsworth, I would be interested in discussing what refinements my GL article might need, especially since there are a few other journals that I want to try. Let's talk about it on the backchannel.

I really like the essay, Bobby, and think you might be able to find a better place for it. It might need a little refinement, though. Let me know if you think I can help.

Hey Bobby, how can I read "Christ, Anti-Christ, or Super-Hero: Green Lantern Through the Looking Glass"? You should e-mail it to my or send me a link to where it is. I love that title. I'm really into the new GL series by Johns. I'm glad to see that Hal isn't generating any lame crap with his ring (like glowing football players punting villains into orbit or giant "Denis the Menace" slingshots!)Later.
