Windows Vista pricing favors PC upgrades (Register)

The pressure is therefore on Microsoft to put the hard sell on Vista to convince consumers to buy a new machine. Microsoft faces an uphill task, though, as Vista is due in January, when wallets will be lighter in the wake of the Holiday spending frenzy. -Gavin Clarke

Ted, Good man switching to Mac! I know a few of my colleagues are thinking about switching and buying new MacBooks. I know I said it before, but I will say it again: I often think about shooting my HP desktop to put it out of its 256MB RAM misery, but then I remember how I cannot justify gaming as a graduate student, thus it lives another day. I plan on replacing it with a Mac Mini in the future.

Hey bob, I just coverted to an iMac in my office, and am seriously considering getting one for home. I'm tired of windows and the constant issues one faces. I'm not a huge gamer, so that part doesn't concern me. I've finally switched, and am quite content.
